Switzerland's Universities of Applied Sciences and Universities of Teacher Education are gaining in importance. The Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) has been supporting their practical research for some years now through its DO REsearch (DORE) funding programme. This funding is available in the areas of social work, health, education, music and theatre, fine arts, applied psychology and applied linguistics.

Der Bericht dokumentiert alle Projekte, die in den letzten zwei Jahren im Rahmen von DORE eingereicht und gefördert wurden. Er zeigt auf, welche Verfahren zu den Förderentscheiden führen und welchen Nutzen und Bekanntheitsgrad DORE gemäss einer aktuellen Umfrage heute hat. Er zieht Bilanz und formuliert Empfehlungen für die kommenden Jahre.

CTI and DORE: Quality research at universities finds strong support
Research in fields such as social work, health, music and theatre, art, education or applied psychology and linguistics harbours major potentials for society, industry and science. The SNSF and CTI have therefore coordinated their activities within the framework of DORE (DOREsearch), the SNSFs funding instrument for practical research at technical universities and higher education colleges and jointly fund good research with commercial and practical potential in the aforementioned sectors.
