SNSF seeks new president for National Research Council

Dieter Imboden will be stepping down as President of the National Research Council at the end of 2012. The SNSF is therefore looking for a suitable replacement as of 1 January 2013.

The National Research Council evaluates applications submitted to the SNSF and makes funding decisions.

The president's main task is to lead the National Research Council and its Presiding Board. Further tasks include contributing to the SNSF's strategic orientation and liaising with other protagonists in the education and research area as well as with the federal authorities and the media. The President is elected for a period of four years and may be re-elected once.
