As of 2011, the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) will accept proposals for the Sinergia funding scheme only once per year, so that they can be assessed more coherently and in direct comparison with one another. The evaluation stage will still last six months, meaning that projects will be able to start on 1 August, at the earliest, each year. Requests for continuation must also be submitted by 15 January 2011.
