Humanities and social science courses (Summer School) 

 

Attention: The funds for Summer School 2010 are exhausted!


Junior researchers in humanities and social sciences (doctoral candidates) residing in Switzerland and holding a university degree may obtain grants from the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) for participation in courses abroad and at the Swiss Summer School in Lugano. This applies to further education courses, but not to congresses, symposia or conferences.


Courses abroad:
The course fees and CHF 100.- per day for the travel and accommodation costs are reimbursed. Included are the first until the last course day and also the weekends between. Cuts on grants have to be expected.

Course duration abroad:  at least two, at most eight weeks


Courses in Lugano:
Course fees only are reimbursed

Course duration Lugano: at least one, at most two weeks



Interested parties apply initially for acceptance to the course. Once the applicant has been accepted for the course (Registration/Invoice), an application for funding can be submitted online via mySNF.

The budget for this type of funding is limited.
