The main amendments in the Sinergia regulations concern the following points:
- The funds for a Sinergia project (significantly more than for a single project, but notably less than for the smallest NRP or NCCR)
- The number of research groups and sub-projects involved (three to four)
- The specific evaluation criteria (the criteria have been reformulated, but the content remains the same)
These amendments are reflected in the other "documents" for applicants (mySNF entry mask, web page). A new document, the Guidelines for applicants of the Sinergia programme (based on the Guidelines for applicants, project funding), is now also available. It provides assistance in preparing and submitting applications.
Amendment of the Sinergia documentation
The information provided in other documents related to Sinergia has been further clarified in various instances. Thus, it is now specified in the Guidelines for selecting SNSF funding schemes that Sinergia applicants must be established researchers. Furthermore, the structure of the research plan has been modified in the Guidelines for applicants of the Sinergia programme.
It is also stated here that follow-up applications for Sinergia projects must address all sub-projects and comply with the same rules as new Sinergia applications.
Finally, the mySNF entry mask now requires applicants to explain any connections and overlaps between their application and other projects submitted to the SNSF (completed, ongoing or under evaluation).
