R'Equip is aimed at researchers in Switzerland who need top-quality, innovative equipment for their research work. The SNSF awards grants for the acquisition and development of large-scale apparatuses in all areas of science.
A grant pays for the acquisition of equipment worth at least CHF 100,000. It generally covers up to 50% of the acquisition costs and amounts to a maximum of CHF 1 million.
Amendments to the R'Equip Regulations as of 2017
As part of the full revision of the Funding Regulations and the Implementation Regulations last year, the R'Equip Regulations have also been amended, and the following important innovations will therefore apply as of the 2017 call:
- The requirements for applicants are now similar to those set for project funding: the same personal requirements apply;
- The project partner category is now also available for R'Equip;
- Only one R'Equip application may be submitted per applicant and submission deadline.
