On June 6th 2014 as part of the Research Day, the SNSF will be visiting the University of Berne to present the SNSF’s funding schemes with information stands and lectures. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and to participate in workshops where individual funding schemes will be discussed in more detail. Researchers from all institutions of higher education are welcome.

How does the SNSF support research projects and young scientists? The purpose of the Research Day is to provide answers to these questions for junior researchers. They will receive information on research grants. Euresearch, Unitectra  as well as the Commission for Technology and Innovation (CTI) will also be represented with an information stand.

An accompanying lecture will summarise the various funding schemes of the SNSF. A (panel) discussion on "Evaluation: a look behind the scenes" should provide interesting insights into how applications are assessed. Workshops offer the opportunity to learn more about eligibility criteria and how to draft applications.

Research Day is open to researchers from all Swiss institutions of higher education. It presents a perfect opportunity for gaining comprehensive information and putting questions to the persons directly responsible. Attendance is free, registration is not required. The
talks will be in German and the Powerpoint presentations in English. Members of
the audience will have the opportunity to ask questions in German, English or
French.
