SNSF Consolidator Grants: call to be launched on 1 May

On 1 May 2014, the SNSF will launch a call for SNSF Consolidator Grants, with the deadline for submission being 20 May 2014. These grants are part of the Temporary Backup Schemes, which offer researchers a temporary substitute for funding schemes of the ERC, from which Switzerland has been excluded.

In view of the current political situation, the SNSF will continue its Temporary Backup Schemes to ensure that researchers at Swiss research institutions are able to submit their proposals for Consolidator Grants to the SNSF. Should the political situation change significantly, allowing researchers to submit proposals to the European Research Council (ERC) in time for the deadline, the SNSF would inform accordingly.

The SNSF Consolidator Grants are aimed at researchers who wish to consolidate their own research group. They must have acquired 7 to 12 years research experience after completing their doctorate and must be working or negotiating a position at a Swiss research institution. The SNSF Consolidator Grants are open to all scientific disciplines.

Interested researchers who do not yet have a mySNF user account are advised to request such an account as soon as possible and to prepare their application in good time.

Submission via the mySNF platform will be possible as of 1 May. A dedicated website will be launched in time for the call, containing the call documents and all relevant information.
