JSPS Postdoctoral Fellowships

The SNSF has set 30 April as the submission deadline of the "JSPS Postdoctoral Fellowships (long term)" programme for the year 2015. The fellowships enable young Swiss scientists to make longer research stays in Japan.

For a number of years, the SNSF has acted as the nominating authority for the Postdoctoral Fellowships (long term) of the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS). These fellowships enable young Swiss scientists to stay in Japan for 12 to 24 months. This year, the SNSF may recommend at the most three candidates to the JSPS for 2015.

Researchers interested in the fellowships are invited to submit their applications to the SNSF until 30 April 2015. The forms provided by the JSPS for this purpose must be used and the relevant conditions must be observed. The completed forms and all necessary enclosures must be sent both by post to the International Co-operation division of the SNSF and by e-mail tointernational@snf.chExternal Link Iconas a scanned attachment.

After the evaluation by the SNSF, the JSPS will assess the applications nominated by the SNSF and inform the candidates about the funding decision in September. The selected researchers will hence be able to commence their stays on 15 September at the earliest and 30 November 2015 at the latest.
