Social sciences: the SNSF is now a member of the Europe-wide NORFACE initiative
Since April 2015, the SNSF has been a full member of the ERA-NET NORFACE, which is dedicated to strengthening international cooperation in the social sciences.
In 2004, ERA-NET launched "New Opportunities for Research Funding Agency Co-operation in Europe" (NORFACE), a Europe-wide initiative of the social sciences. Members include research funding agencies from 16 European countries and from Canada.
Discussions about a new call are in full swing. The following topic is being contemplated for the end of 2015:
- Dynamics of inequality across the life-course
Submission requirements and deadlines will be published in autumn in a joint press release.
Groups consisting of researchers from at least three NORFACE member states are eligible for the call. The SNSF recommends that interested researchers in Switzerland get in touch with their colleagues abroad in view of the upcoming call.
