Call for NRP 72 and NRP 75 with new websites

The Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) is issuing calls for the National Research Programmes "Antimicrobial Resistance" (NRP 72) and "Big Data" (NRP 75) based on a mandate from the Federal Council. The new websites went online today.

Mandated by the Federal Council, the SNSF has launched the National Research Programme "Antimicrobial Resistance" (NRP 72). The objective of the NRP is to contribute to reducing antimicrobial resistance as well as decreasing its negative impact on the therapy of infectious diseases. It is adopting a holistic, interdisciplinary one-health approach. Researchers may submit their pre-proposals by no later than 11 January 2016.

NRP 75 will address the technical questions raised by big data (infrastructures, machine learning, security), study the societal challenges involved (social acceptance, regulatory aspects and economic impacts) and facilitate the development of new applications. Interested researchers can submit project outlines (pre-proposals) until 13 January 2016.
