Strategic Japanese-Swiss Science and Technology Program (SJSSTP): JRP call for proposals in biology, medicine and the humanities and social sciences
In the context of the bilateral programmes initiated by the federal government, the SNSF and the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) are issuing a call for joint research projects (JRPs).
The JRPs enable researchers in Switzerland to collaborate with a partner in Japan. The SNSF will cover the costs incurred in Switzerland, and the JSPS the costs in Japan. The two organisations plan to fund up to four projects under the current call. Each project will have a duration of three years.
The following areas of research are addressed in the call:
- Biology
- Medicine
- Humanities
- Social sciences
A call in the areas of mathematics, natural and engineering sciences is planned for 2017.
