The SNSF launches a call for proposals for the evaluation of the Agora funding scheme

Five years after the introduction of Agora, the SNSF launches a call for proposals to evaluate its science communication funding scheme. The description of the study is available in the document "Call for proposals". The submission deadline is 6 June 2016.

The SNSF introduced the scientific communication funding scheme in 2011. The aim of the Agora funding scheme is to promote knowledge dissemination as well as the exchange of opinions and perspectives on scientific research. It supports projects that explicitly include elements of interaction and mutual listening, thereby encouraging dialogue between scientists and the general public. Grants of between CHF 5,000 and CHF 200,000 are awarded for small-format communication projects or larger scale projects with greater impact.

Agora supports a range of activities, including discussions and debates, practical workshops, participative science, multimedia projects, serious games, theatre and performance, interactive exhibitions and educational projects.
