Bilateral programme with the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST): SNSF-JST Call 2017
In the context of the bilateral programmes initiated by the federal government, the SNSF and the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) are issuing a call for joint research projects (JRPs).
The JRPs enable researchers in Switzerland to collaborate with a partner in Japan. The two organisations plan to fund up to three projects under the current call. Each project will have a duration of max. three years, with the Swiss side receiving a grant of up to CHF 250,000. The project grants cover similar costs as national SNSF projects (equipment, research funds and salaries). The Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) will cover the costs incurred by the Japanese partner.
The applications will be evaluated jointly by the SNSF and the JST.Applications are restricted to the following thematic area: Research on hydrogen as a renewable carrier.
