Japan Society for the Promotion of Science: Postdoctoral Fellowships for Overseas Researchers
The programme "JSPS Postdoctoral Fellowships for Overseas Researchers" enables Swiss researchers to stay in Japan for 12 to 24 months. Applications need to be submitted by 30 March 2018.
For a number of years, the SNSF has acted as the nomination body for the Postdoctoral Fellowships of the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS). In 2018, the SNSF can propose two researchers to the JSPS.
Researchers interested in the fellowships are invited to submit their applications by 30 March 2018. The forms provided by the JSPS for this purpose must be used and the relevant conditions must be taken into consideration. The completed forms and all necessary enclosures must be sent both by post to the Interdisciplinary and International Co-operation division of the SNSF and by e-mail to international@snf.ch as a scanned attachment.
After evaluation by the SNSF, the JSPS will evaluate the applications nominated by the SNSF and inform the candidates about the funding decision by the end of July / beginning of August. The selected researchers will therefore be able to commence their stays at the earliest in mid-August and at the latest on 30 November 2018.
