In order to raise public interest in the research and to highlight the benefits of science for society at large, the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) maintains active communication with the general public and the media. With this in mind, the National Centres of Competence in Research (NCCR) are also called upon to be actively involved. The Swiss National Science Foundation provides researchers with support for media and public relations through a media guide and regular media training courses. A presentation method for scientific lectures supplements the communication support package.
