Ambizione: 60 young researchers receive grants

The SNSF has awarded a total of 60 grants to young researchers within the scope of this year's call for proposals for Ambizione, Ambizione-PROSPER and Ambizione-SCORE.

By mid-February 2014, 294 young researchers had submitted Ambizione applications. After a two-phase evaluation procedure, the SNSF awarded a total of 60 new grants (Ambizione: 55, Ambizione-PROSPER: 1, Ambizione-SCORE: 4). The targeted 35% share of female grantees was almost achieved this year with 19 awards (or approximately 32%) going to women.

The Ambizione, Ambizione-PROSPER and Ambizione-SCORE funding scheme of the SNSF enables young researchers in all disciplines to conduct independent research. The next call for Ambizione proposals is scheduled for mid-November 2014, with the next submission deadline being 13 February 2015.
