Research on Research: Experiment, translate, transform

The keynote speech was given by Michael Nielsen (Astera Institute, Berkeley CA) on ‘The trouble in comparing different approaches to science funding’. In addition, James Wilsdon (RoRI) and other rep-resentatives of RoRI and consortium members presented their projects of RoRI’s first phase. As an important output of the first phase, the updated edition of the Experimental Research Funder’s Hand-book was presented. Lastly, experts from funding organisations (CIHR, Wellcome Trust. FNR Luxem-bourg, Novo Nordisk) and higher education institutions (Sheffield University) and the Center for Open Science discussed future challenges and priorities in future challenges of research (funding) and how they can be addressed through research on research activities.

The event brought together Swiss and international researchers, funders and other stakeholders, who are interested in research in research(funding).
