The online database offers a curated overview of current articles relating to science policy and supports researchers and other interested parties in efficiently navigating the field.

How do scientific findings affect political decisions – and vice versa? What reforms does the publication system need to ensure that research remains credible? How do evaluations influence science? And what does all this mean for the future of research and politics?

ScienceGeist addresses such questions and curates a daily selection of articles from international media, blogs and specialist journals. The platform provides the research community with an overview of current discussions on topics such as peer review, open science, research integrity, careers and reproducibility.

The online database currently contains around 14,900 entries and allows targeted searches. Its contents date back to 2013. Interested parties can submit their own article suggestions. Every two weeks, the editorial team summarises the most important articles in a newsletter – exclusively in English, the common language of science. While the contents are curated by SNSF employees, the shared articles do not necessarily reflect the views of the SNSF.
