Pre-announcement: call for edition projects to be funded as of 2017
The aim of this call is to take stock and carry out a needs analysis with regard to edition projects in the humanities and to make preliminary funding decisions for 2017 and beyond. Applicants will be able to submit pre-proposals via mySNF as of 1 April 2014. The submission deadline is 1 June 2014.
Editions are important research infrastructures in the humanities as they make materials available for further research. As of 2017, the SNSF will support edition projects only in a coordinated manner within the scope of its infrastructure funding. With this call, the SNSF will clarify the budget needed for edition projects in the 2017-2020 period (multi-year planning of the SNSF).
Participation in this call is a prerequisite for the principal investigators of new edition projects and ongoing edition projects to be funded by the SNSF as of 2017. The next call for edition projects is only envisaged as part of the the multi-year planning after 2020.

This call follows the call regarding the update of the Swiss Roadmap for Research Infrastructures issued jointly by the SNSF and the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI), whose submission deadline expired on 23 January 2014.
