Grasslands more resilient to drought
Extreme weather events do not completely wipe out prairie species. They can strengthen their diversity and thus their sustainability.
When a grassland is exposed to drought, different species undergo evolutionary changes. A project supported by the Swiss National Science Foundation now shows that this leads to greater resilience over time.
