Raw Materials Partnership for the Green and Digital Transition: call for European projects

The new European Partnership RAMP supports research and/or innovation projects that contribute to a sustainable supply and efficient use of raw materials. The SNSF is joining this transnational initiative.
Researchers based in Switzerland can apply for funding from the Raw Materials Partnership for the Green and Digital Transition (RAMP). Projects are encouraged to adopt inter- and transdisciplinary approaches. All proposals submitted to the call must clearly address one of the following challenges:
Ensuring a resilient supply of raw materials from primary sources
Targeting secondary sources to enhance access to raw materials
Efficient and effective use of raw materials in design and production
Overcoming technological barriers to circularity
Putting circular economy ambitions into action
Innovative approaches for analysing raw materials value chains
Projects funded under RAMP are expected to tackle important knowledge-, innovation- or policy-related gaps in the raw materials ecosystem. They should subsequently feed into larger initiatives (e.g. Horizon Europe) by upscaling, knowledge and technology sharing, and capacity building at various levels.
Proposals must be clearly positioned with respect to the state of the art. They are also expected to build on the knowledge and experience achieved through previous transnational or European as well as national, regional and local R&I programmes.
Support from the SNSF
Swiss-based applicants must meet the eligibility requirements for SNSF Project Funding. It is advisable to contact our Administrative Offices if this will be your first application to the SNSF. Along with the application to the RAMP Call Secretariat, you have to submit an administrative application to the SNSF at the same time. The submission deadline for pre-proposals is 22 September 2026. For further details, please refer to the RAMP website.
