Japan Society for the Promotion of Science: Postdoctoral Fellowships for Overseas Researchers

The programme "JSPS Postdoctoral Fellowships for Overseas Researchers" enables Swiss researchers to stay in Japan for 12 to 24 months.

For a number of years, the SNSF has acted as the nomination body for the Postdoctoral Fellowships of the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS). These fellowships enable Swiss scientists to stay in Japan for 12 to 24 months. In 2016, the SNSF can propose one or two researchers to the JSPS.

Researchers interested in the fellowships are invited to submit their applications by 31 March 2016. The forms provided by the JSPS for this purpose must be used and the relevant conditions must be observed. The completed forms and all necessary enclosures must be sent both by post to the International Co-operation division of the SNSF and by e-mail tointernational@snf.chExternal Link Iconas a scanned attachment.

After evaluation by the SNSF, the JSPS will evaluate the applications nominated by the SNSF and inform the candidates about the funding decision in August. The selected researchers will therefore be able to commence their stays at the earliest on 1 August and at the latest on 30 November 2016.
