Shaping the future of research funding – new members sought for the Foundation Council

The SNSF is advertising one or two mandates on its Foundation Council. Individuals with management experience and strategic consulting expertise are invited to apply.
The Foundation Council is the strategic governing body of the SNSF. The Council determines the Foundation's long-term strategic orientation, supervises its governance, approves the budget and ensures that the SNSF effectively fulfils its funding mission.
The SNSF is now looking for one or two new members to join its Foundation Council. This is due to the resignation of Agnès Petit, who will take over as Head of Project & Programme Funding at Innosuisse in January 2026.
Since 2024, the SNSF Foundation Council has consisted of seven to eleven members. The reorganisation followed the SNSF's structural reform that defined a leaner, more strategically oriented leadership structure.
We are looking for personalities with management and consulting experience, ideally with a scientific, economic, legal or political background. The term of office is four years; re-election is possible once.
Those interested should submit their application by 30 January 2026.
