Switzerland remains a full member of the European COST Association
The COST funding programme supports scientific collaboration and networking in Europe and beyond. Researchers based in Switzerland can continue to participate in the programme.
Although Switzerland is currently not associated to the European Horizon Europe framework programme, it continues to be a full member of the COST Association. Researchers based in Switzerland are therefore fully eligible to take part in all COST activities and to receive reimbursements to cover related expenses.
We encourage researchers in Switzerland to participate in COST Actions. It is possible to be involved in working groups and the management committee of an Action. In addition, eligibility to submit proposals for new Actions will extend to future calls organised by the Brussels-based COST Association.
As until now, the SNSF will launch a yearly call for proposals to support research projects associated with COST Actions at the national level. The next call is expected to be published in early 2022.
