Pre-registration with the French ANR for Lead Agency applications in 2019
If you are planning to submit an application with a French research partner, you can do so with a Lead Agency proposal. In 2019, all applications need to be submitted to the Agence Nationale de la Recherche (ANR). If you intend to submit a proposal, you need to pre-register with the ANR by 25 October 2018, 1 p.m. CET.
The SNSF's Lead Agency process is aimed at researchers in Switzerland who wish to conduct a cross-border research project. The process simplifies the submission and evaluation of transnational applications.
The SNSF and the ANR have agreed to take turns as the Lead Agency on a yearly basis. In 2019, Lead Agency applications with France may only be submitted to the ANR, regardless of whether the larger portion of the project budget is requested in Switzerland or in France.
Researchers intending to submit a proposal to the ANR in April 2019 must be aware that the French project partners are required to pre-register by 25 October 2018, 1 p.m. No proposals may be submitted unless this pre-registration has been made. It is not necessary to register with the SNSF.
