The SNSF is now active on Bluesky
The SNSF has joined the Bluesky social network to maintain close exchanges with the scientific community. Accounts were created in November 2023 to assess the platform.
The SNSF has been communicating on social networks for many years, giving us instant reach to the scientific community, media, political circles, and segments of the public. The SNSF's communication and its results are regularly evaluated, and the channels and digital tools are adapted as needed.
The SNSF opened accounts on the Bluesky social network at the end of 2023 to assess and experiment with the platform. After a conclusive test period and in view of the growing presence of the scientific community on Bluesky, the SNSF has decided to use this platform, among others, for its digital communication. Bluesky's decentralised structure allows users to control their data and enables everyone to access published information without having a personal account. At the same time, the SNSF will no longer actively communicate on X, and its accounts will be on standby. The scientific community's relocation to other digital platforms makes the X social network unsuitable for the SNSF's digital communication. A similar decision had previously been taken regarding Facebook, Pinterest and Google+.
News from the SNSF continues to be available on the website, via the newsletter and on other social networks that enable us to reach our various target audiences. You can currently find the SNSF on the following social networks:
