Interdisciplinary research: revised Sinergia funding scheme

The Sinergia funding scheme has been revised to support interdisciplinary projects that involve breakthrough research.

Within the scope of the innovations in project funding, the SNSF has revised the Sinergia funding scheme, which is now also governed by new regulations. The funding scheme "Interdisciplinary Projects" has been integrated into Sinergia. The next submission deadline is 1 June 2016.

From now on, the SNSF will award Sinergia grants for pioneering collaborative and interdisciplinary projects (breakthrough research) conducted by consortiums of two to four researchers. Some of the new features are based on the revised Funding Regulations.

The Sinergia page on the SNSF website has been updated accordingly. Besides regulations, guidelines for writing the research plan and FAQs are available there.
