NRP 64 Opportunities and Risks of Nanomaterials
The proposed topic "Opportunities and Risks of Nanomaterials" is of paramount importance both from the scientific and the economic point of view. A variety of research activities have been launched on an international level.
Switzerland is compelled to continue developing its expertise and competence in this area, above all by participating in the development of new nanoproducts, of new methods of determining the danger from such products and in the standardization and regulation of the use of nanomaterials.
The National Research Programme “Opportunities and Risks of Nanomaterials“ (NRP 64) will have to be run in close co-ordination with the National Centre of Competence in Research (NCCR) Nanoscale Science.
