Bringing science to society: training courses for researchers in 2026

Register now: Researchers at all career levels can continue to benefit from practice-oriented courses on media relations, social media and political dialogue in 2026. Spots are limited.
The visibility of science in the public spotlight is more important than ever. Since 2007, the SNSF has been supporting researchers with training courses on how to communicate their research findings in understandable and effective ways. These practical courses also promote dialogue across scientific disciplines and institutions. Around 130 people participated in 2025.
For researchers in SNSF-funded projects
Registration for our 2026 courses is now open, and spots are limited. Experienced professionals teach courses on media relations, social media and political dialogue. The politics courses offered in collaboration with the Reatch Association's Franxini Project are now also exclusively for SNSF-funded researchers and their project staff. "Communication is not a luxury, but a key competence – for up-and-coming talents and experienced researchers alike," emphasises Christophe Giovannini, Head of Communication at the SNSF. "With our courses, we help ensure that scientific expertise is heard in societal debates.
New collaboration with Science et Cité
Starting in 2026, the Foundation Science et Cité will organise the courses, drawing on its many years of experience in promoting dialogue between science and society. It will evaluate the range of courses and develop them further from 2027. The SNSF would like to thank the Storie cultural agency in Basel, which carried out this mandate very successfully over the course of many years.
