Vietnamese-Swiss Joint Research Programme
Research collaboration with Vietnam
Under the bilateral cooperation programmes of the Swiss government, the SNSF is launching a call for Joint Research Projects (JRPs) together with the National Foundation for Science & Technology Development (NAFOSTED) in Vietnam.
The JRPs will enable researchers in Switzerland to carry out joint projects with research partners in Vietnam. The projects will run for a period of two to three years; a maximum of 250,000 francs per project will be available for the Swiss part. The costs are similar to those currently chargeable to national project grants awarded by the SNSF.
Call for proposals 2020
The call, which is aimed at all disciplines, was launched on 1 October 2020; the deadline for submissions is 15 January 2021. Interested researchers are invited to create a draft application in mySNF before 23 November 2020, indicating the discipline and topic of their project. This preregistration serves informational purposes and is not a prerequisite for final submission of a project proposal, nor are applicants who have preregistered bound to submitting a proposal.
The SNSF will evaluate the applications together with NAFOSTED. Up to 10 projects may be funded. The SNSF will cover the costs incurred in the Swiss part of the project, and NAFOSTED the costs for the research conducted in Vietnam.
