Call for proposals on health and wellbeing

Researchers at universities of applied sciences and universities of teacher education take note: for the second time, the SNSF will fund projects on health and wellbeing. CHF 15 million are available this year.

The submission deadline has been rescheduled to 15 March 2024 (initially 15 January 2024) in order to give researchers more time.

Health is a topic of great importance to Swiss society. The SNSF supports research on this topic at universities of applied sciences and universities of teacher education for a limited period, in line with its Multi-Year Programme 2021-2024.

Deadline for the submission of project proposals: 15 March 2024

The second call opened on 1 November 2023. Researchers at universities of applied sciences and universities of teacher education can submit project proposals that are directly related to health and wellbeing via the mySNF platform. Proposals must be submitted in English. No pre-registration is required, and it is possible to resubmit the revised proposal from the first call or to submit a new proposal.

Changes in the Project Funding Regulations

Due to changes in the Project Funding Regulations published in July 2023, the call document has been adapted. For example, the research plan has been limited to 15 pages. Researchers will have the opportunity to ask questions regarding the second health and wellbeing call at the SNSF Webinar on Tuesday, 5 December 2023, 10 a.m. Registration is still possible until Friday, 1 December 2023.

The call closes on 15 March 2024 at 5 p.m. The earliest start date for funded projects is 1 December 2024. The results of the evaluation will be announced as of November 2024.

Conclusion of the first call on health and wellbeing
